Bob founded Parlee Cycles with a simple goal: to build the best bikes in the world. Parlee gained notoriety by using the exotic material of carbon fibre when all but a few companies were taking their first steps with the new material.  Most of the peloton was still pushing aluminium, and a bespoke carbon fibre frame was unheard of.  This is where Parlee's twenty years of carbon composite experience in manufacturing racing boats set Parlee apart from the competition.  For us, the best thing about Parlee is the people, a real engineer-led company.  My favourite anecdote from Parlee is sitting at a restaurant table with Bob Parlee in his sixties, discussing with his engineer how it was too loud and the restaurant should lower the ceiling height.  You can now start to imagine the depths and lengths they go to in bicycle design.  Parlee is great people, light and buttery-smooth bespoke and ready to ride bicycles with the most incredible bespoke paint.
