SARTO

Founder Antonio Sarto

Founded 1959 Pianiga, Venice, Italy

Antonio Sarto began his journey in the bicycle industry at just fourteen years old when he and his brothers started working on bicycle frames. They initially performed finishing work for well-established Italian brands by hand polishing and cleaning frames after brazing. As their skills grew, they expanded into their own frames, with production reaching 200 bikes a day at its peak in the 1980’s

In the nineties, Antonio's son Enrico Sarto joined the company and led the transition from steel to carbon fibre and then from production to bespoke. Today, Sarto sits atop a very prestigious list of custom Italian frame builders. Sarto is at the forefront of composite innovation, iterating and innovating in an exclusive process that sets Sarto apart as a rarified maker of ‘beyond-bespoke’ handmade carbon fibre bicycles.

Sarto represents Italian craftsmanship, artisanal tradition, excellence in materials and methodology, and the absolute value of the bespoke. Sarto creates dream bicycles.
