With over 185 years of history pre-dating the Penny-Farthing by 31 years and 45 years before the first bicycle anyone could recognise as a modern bicycle, Orbea is easily the oldest company in Cycling. The Vuelta started on the doorsteps of the factory. The Orbea story is one of constant evolution, the largest of which was in 1969 when they where purchased by their workers and became a cooperative.
